We both loved the idea of a simpler life, closer to nature. But it wasn't until the pandemic hit that we realized how much we missed real food – the kind you grow yourself. Seeing the challenges in the food system, with empty shelves and rising prices, we started to wonder if we could do things differently.
So, we took the leap. We quit our full time jobs and jumped right into farming. It hasn't been easy, as first generation farmers – there's a lot to learn! But every day, we're grateful for the chance to connect with the land, grow delicious food, and build a stronger community.
And of course our farm dream would not have became a reality if it wasn't for all the support from our friends and family. They helped us get the farm off the ground, whether it was picking rocks, planting and everything in between. We're incredibly grateful for the huge role they played in the success of our little farm.
